Caveman Chow – Catered Party

Posted May 17th, 2013 by Sharon in Caveman News, Nutrition

So Bri had been trolling the web and found Caveman Chow which is a start-up Paleo Food Truck in Houston.  Caveman Chow is trying to raise money to get started and we are here to help.

We are going to be having a catered meal event at the Cave on June 29th at 11 am.  Tickets for the event will be $20.  All the ticket sales from the day will go directly to Caveman Chow to help them get off the ground.  Caveman Chow will come out with their truck and provide attendees with some great Paleo food.

We need to get at least 50 tickets sold, but the more the merrier.  We will be selling tickets at the Cave (and online) through June 15th.  Tell your friends, family, and co-wrokers.  You don’t need to be a member to come to the event.

We will provide  keg for the day of the event.

You will be required to purchase a ticket in order to come to the event.  Again, this is a funding event for Caveman Chow – all ticket sales will go to Caveman Chow.

Mark it down on your calendar and make sure you are able yo make it out!!

Happy 3rd Anniversary

Posted May 17th, 2013 by Sharon in Caveman News

Today is CrossFit Caveman’s 3rd Anniversary!!!

What many of you don’t know is that Ray and I started CrossFit Caveman as a kids only CrossFit facility. After several months we saw there was so much more to offer and we started working with adults as well.

Even from the beginning, we have been a family-friendly gym focused on providing great client service to everyone who walks through our doors, young and old, fit and out of shape.

We cannot believe how much we have grown in the past three years – so much in the past year alone. We are very excited about what the next year has to offer for us and all of you. We are very happy each of you are part of our Cave family.

April 2013: Robbie Duxbury

Robbie

Robbie Duxbury is amazing.  Did you know that before Robbie started CrossFit her kids told her it would be too hard for her.  Despite what her kids thought Robbie decided to give us a try. Over the past almost 18 months Robbie has made a major transformation.  She has changed her body composition (even if she doesn’t believe that), she has embraced a healthier lifestyle, and she is trying things she never thought she would be able to do.  Whether it’s conquering box jumps and double unders or participating in her first Triathlon in March of this year she is always ready for something new.  Robbie is always there to support us in whatever we are doing – moving the gym, doing a competition, being at a fundraiser, anything.  And she drags her partner Mary along with her and although Mary doesn’t work out she is a member of our Cave family too.
